Discover Sarlat
Sarlat-la-Canéda, or simply Sarlat, is a French town located in the Dordogne department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. The town is famous for its well-preserved medieval historic center, with narrow golden stone streets, churches, picturesque squares and local culinary specialties like foie gras and truffles. Sites of interest in Sarlat include the Saint-Sacerdos cathedral, the clock tower and the Maison de la Boétie. The city attracts many visitors from all over the world each year.

This city of Art and History was the first protected area in France to be restored thanks to the Malraux law of 1962. It is easy to understand why, since 1928, famous filmmakers have decided to use the medieval settings of Sarlat as filming locations for many cult films.
